CONVERSATIONALIST DUO

Conversationalist is a duo project of Chris Rorrer (guitar, cello, vocals) and Breeze Smith (percussion, effects). The two musicians are seasoned in the Los Angeles music scene, performing at the likes of Walt Disney Hall, the Colburn School, the World Stage, and Healing Force Records.

After meeting through the Los Angeles free improv scene, Breeze and Chris found an instant musical connection that now commands the pop-rock and experimental realms. Chris’s catchy, melodic yet complex compositions and harmonies pair with Breeze’s nimble, highly expressive percussion and sound manipulation to create a symphony of sound and timbre uncanny for a duo. They each boast a substantive multi-genre discography, numerous film score credits, and a substantial portfolio of performances in prestigious venues throughout the globe. Their musical chemistry is undeniable on stage: bringing audiences riveting and enchanting performances night after night.
