“When on stage, I don’t want to waste a second of my audience’s time – I aim to make the most engaging experience possible, directly communicating what is in my heart through my instrument and into sound waves.” – from Interview with Chris on Bold Journey LA
It is my mission to make the world a brighter place, create unity, and inspire others in the work I do. I realize I won’t be everyone’s friend and that’s okay. I just strive to put my best foot forward, keep learning, growing, and glorifying the Creator in everything I do. - From Interview with Chris on Shoutout LA
Chris’ pop-rock projects have been described as follows:
“Tedium lives not in this fresh, new clutch; the compositions boast a fluid meticulousness…Their arrangements allow for expansion, but they yield to exploratory impulses without getting lost…the young band pulls a more sophisticated orbit, eluding pinpoint definition with a piquant mélange of pop, rock and jazz.” – Cory Frye, Corvallis Gazette-Times
Accolades:
“Chris is a consummate professional who is always a joy to work with. As a composer, I value writing music for musicians who are also artists in their own right - and Chris is one of them.” - Andrew Napier, Film/TV, and video game composer
“I’ve played with Chris in multiple facets since 2015, using him as a remote studio musician, live musician, and songwriting partner. Chris is a musician's musician. He knows his music theory and could do anything you need by the book, but he’s also very good playing by ear and feeling on the fly, impromptu style. He’s a man of his word and a hard worker with his nose always to the grindstone. Chris plays cello, piano, guitar, bass, sings and does all of them exceedingly well.” - Justin Kelley of MeadowMaker Music
